Salt Spring Island Farmers' Institute https://www.ssifi.org was founded in 1895 on 10 acres of pastoral land.
It's a cherished community venue with serene fields and mature orchards that also houses Salt Spring Island's heritage museum.

The Farmer's Institute is located 1.3 km from Ganges on Rainbow Road.

Camping

Camping is first-come, first-served. As you can see in the photo below, the camping area is a sunny meadow with little sun protection. The meadow campground is well-maintained and well-lit at night.

Most campers will camp in this meadow close to the event, water stations, washrooms, and the activities.

Expansive grassy meadow with a barn in the background. Along the side there are picnic tables and a fence.

RV and campers vans should park along the Rainbow Road perimeter within the meadow. If you are not sleeping in your vehicle, please setup camp and then park your car with the other cars at the event entrance.

We have rented out the entire grounds out so you may certainly pitch a tent farther back in the property.
