Salt Spring Island Farmers Institute

The Salt Spring Island Farmers Institute (SSIFI) was founded in 1895 on 10 acres of pastoral land. It is a cherished community venue with serene fields, mature orchards, and a heritage museum where you can learn about the rich local history.

You will be camping in a lush meadow with expansive grounds for activities, music jams, and relaxed conversation under the trees.

SSFI's amenities include a stage, indoor halls, outdoor seating, stalls and a large camping area.   Potable water is available as are meals, a kitchen, parking, washrooms and shower facilities.

Accessibility

Charging Recharge motorized wheelchair and other medical equipment. Can recharge inside the Main Hall, outside at the Volunteer area and BBQ Area. Bring all cords and accessories needed to charge your devices. Chargers must use a 110-volt circuit.
Distances We are using 1.5 acres of the overall property for the event.
Service Dogs We welcome service dogs on-leash. Please leave pets at home.
Stairs Stairs to Upper Hall and kitchen area.
Sunlight and Shade Direct sunlight in the camping area and stage area.
Terrain and Wildlife Navigable, mostly flat and grassy. Main Hall, lower level restrooms and showers, camping areas on grass. Deer wander the area
