Meshtastic Group Order in Vancouver
DWeb Vancouver is doing a group buy of Meshtastic devices. Check out the two options, and come join us at the Z-Space Electronics Bazaar to see them in person.

The DWeb Vancouver crew has been experimenting with Meshtastic devices. This is an open source, off-grid, decentralized, mesh network built to run on affordable, low-power devices.
We've been looking at them to experiment and learn with mesh communications, solar powered devices, and gathering sensor data. In the case of emergency, in and areas without cell access, you can keep in touch with people with short text messages.
Our plan is to do a bulk group order of devices, as well as installing two solar repeaters. One will be at Z-Space, the other at the CoFood Garden where one of our wifi nodes are.
Group Order
For the group order we have 2 really good options:

Rak Wireless WisMesh Pocket V2 $180
- Build-in screen to view messages
- Upgradable antenna
- Standard USB-C cable
- GPS included

Seeed Studio SenseCAP Tracker T1000-E $100
- Small form factor
- Custom mag-safe cable
- GPS included
All prices are in CAD and include tax and shipping. And: two solar repeaters!
Once the devices are delivered, we'll organize pick up and onboarding at Z-Space as we get things setup together.

Join us at Z-Space Electronics Bazaar
On May 16th, this coming Friday afternoon, Z-Space is hosting it's first Electronics Bazaar.
This is a buy / sell / trade event for used electronics and computing equipment of all kinds, with a recycling pick up for anything that's left over. Read the whole post for more info, and register to let them know you're coming.
The DWeb Vancouver crew will be there in person, and you can take a look at the meshtastic devices and sign up in person to the group order.
Thank you to Jacob Sayle @jacobsayles.bsky.social of Cascadia Design for researching devices and coordinating the group buy!
