DWebYVR reading group: Vote on our first reading!

The cold and rainy season upon us, what better time to choose a new book to read to curl up with on the couch with a cup of tea? Even better, once read, you can talk about and discuss the book with your DWeb friends.
The DWeb Vancouver reading group is a new initiative, and the idea is to read something together loosely related to DWeb themes – anything from technical or policy papers and essays to philosophy or sci-fi imagining better futures or offering cautionary tales – and to then get together in person to talk about it.
The structure and format is still evolving, as people contribute their preferences and ideas.
Below, you will find a randomized list of readings people have suggested. You can also visit the voting page directly. This is an approval vote, so choose as few or as many as you are interested in, and the reading with the most votes on October 7th 8 p.m. PDT will become our reading for the first meeting.
To get the ball rolling, let's vote on our first reading. At our first meeting on November 12th we can discuss how we want to move forward, how often to meet, etc. RSVP here:
Didn't see anything that tickled you or disappointed something you've been wanting to read isn't on the ballot? Add your suggestions for readings for the next meeting here:

We hope to see you at the first meeting, happy voting and reading!
